President Abdel Fattah El Sisi paid a visit to the Police Academy on Saturday and met with Mahmoud Tawfik, Minister of Interior, and a number of security leaders, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

Sisi attended admission tests for new students applying to join the Police Academy.

The President stressed the need to continue developing the capabilities of the Police Academy to ensure that it keeps pace with the latest sciences in the security, legal and social fields to hone students’ skills, as well as a comprehensive assessment of their awareness of various national security files by addressing these issues.

"Sisi spoke with a group of students applying to join the college, in order to determine their future ambitions to participate in the message of the country's security, and who affirmed their sincere desire to protect the homeland, defend its capabilities and build its future," said Rady.

An open dialogue was also held by the President with the students, as he stressed that the security work has undergone many changes recently, according to the changes taking place in the regional situation, which affected many neighboring countries.
