Egypt's Transportation Ministry distributed 1500 gifts to pedestrians and passengers on the first and second lines of the Cairo Metro in celebration of Eid El-Fitr, according to a statement released on Monday by the Ministry.

While strolling in Ramsis, Anwar Sadat (Tahrir), and Marj Gadida stations, you can see many people have been inundated with caps and prayer rugs from the PR staff in the transportation ministry, alongside a number of metro workers.

The three days of Eid, in essence, are a time for Egyptians to come together to feast on food through appreciation and gift each other presents as well.

It's worth mentioning that Egyptians celebrate the first day of Eid by attending the Eid prayers in groups after the sunrise known as Salaat Al-Eid and by visiting their kin.
