Impact to Crown New Knockouts World Champion at Rebellion

Early Friday, Impact Knockouts World Champion Mickie James relinquished her title due to an injury, so, she won't join the triple-threat match between Jordynne Grace and Deonna Purrazzo at Rebellion, this Sunday.

James appeared in the latest Impact Wrestling episode, announcing that her doctor didn't allow her to wrestle and she will respect her word to relinquish the title.

The Hardcore Country was supposed to defend her title in the previous Impact Wrestling PPV, Sacrifice, against Grace, however, the match was canceled due to her injury

However, she addressed the audience and said if she recovered before Rebellion, the match will be a triple-threat match for the title. In case, she missed it, she would relinquish the title.

Another #1 contender match was set at Impact X NJPW: Multiverse United show to select the opponent of Grace at Rebellion to wrestle for the title, in case James relinquished her title. 

Purrazzo defeated Gisele Shaw, Miyu Yamashita, and Masha Slamovich to be added to the title match.
