Immigrant Armed Man Takes 2 Women Hostages in Paris (Video)

An immigrant armed man with a knife held two women hostages in Paris, calling to talk with Justice Minister, Sky News reported on Monday.

Sky News Arabia correspondent revealed that a gunman detained at least two women in a shopping center in the French capital, Paris, in the 12th arrondissement.

In response, officers in Paris have tweeted that people should avoid the area of Aligre in the 12th arrondissement in order to deal with the armed man.

The man, 59-year old, is believed to be a Tunisian with mental health issues who used to work in politics.  Reports added that he asked to speak with French Minister of Justice Eric Dupond-Moretti.

Meanwhile, members of the French Research and Intervention Brigade unit have arrived on the scene.
