On Wednesday, The world Handball Flagship Club World Cup, the IHF Men’s Super Globe, draw will take place in Alamein.
The 17th edition of the club world handball flagship competition will be known as the IHF Men’s Club World Championship.
It will be hosted in Egypt, between 27 September and 3 October, with the participation of 9 teams.
All the matches are scheduled to be hosted in the New Administrative Capital Hall, which hosted at the 2021 IHF Men’s World Championship.
The nine teams are Al-Ahly, FC Barcelona, Zamalek, Khaleej, Handebol Taubaté, California Eagles, Sydney Uni, Veszprém HC,.
The teams were seeded into three pots, with no teams representing the same continent being able to play in the same group.
Teams from Pot 3 will be drawn first, followed by the teams from Pot 1. Al-Ahly, as the hosts, will choose their group, with the remaining two teams in the Pot 2 being drawn next.
The three European teams will be seeded in the first pot and will not play on the first day of the competition.
The winner of each group will progress to the semi-finals, where they will be joined by the best second-placed team in the three groups. The remaining five sides will feature in the Placement Matches.
