Hull City have released a statement announcing the release of Egyptian youngster Ahmed Salam following the end of the season.

Born in England to Egyptian parents, Salam is a 20-year-old winger, who started his career at Victoria Dock Rangers, before moving to the Leeds development centre, where he was scouted by Hull City.

He had joined Hull City’s academy’s U12s age group and has been with the Tigers since then, flourishing and thriving as one of the most talented players in their ranks.

Being part of the Hull City family, Salam was promoted to train with the first team last season and even managed to make his debut, featuring twice as a substitute in the Tigers’ EFL Trophy victories over Harrogate Town and Fleetwood Town.
