The first image of the upcoming smartphone from Huawei appeared on Wednesday, which presumably will be called the Huawei P50 Pro.

Earlier, there were reports that the firm is planning to launch the next flagship series of smartphones in the first half of 2021. The source claims Huawei will be using the Kirin 9000 SoC for the Huawei P50.

Meanwhile, the main design feature of the P50 Pro will be the rear camera, which will be located in a circle cut off from one side. The main camera unit contains four sensors.

In addition, the news reports explained that the display suppliers for the P50 model are Samsung Display and LG Display. Apparently, they are now preparing for production. Also, Samsung Display and LG Display will definitely supply displays for the Huawei P50; however, it is unknown if they will receive orders for the Mate 50 series.

Moreover, the firm Consumer Business CEO Yu Richard explained, in a previous statement that Huawei Mate 40 Series could be the last to sport a Kirin SoC. Noteworthy, the firm wants to keep its userbase with solid smartphones and wants to keep its name as competitive players in the flagship segment. It also surpassed Apple in the entire shipment rankings for 2019.

Later, Huawei Ranked No.1 in Patent Ranking 2020 by Global wireless Communication Network Technology according to a recently published report in November. The tech giant has filed 8,607 patents, a feat which contributed greatly to China being on par with the US, with both countries each accounting for about 32% of the worldwide numbers for 2020.

Meanwhile, In the ten-month period from January to October 2020, the company filed 8,607 wireless patents, eclipsing US chipmaker Qualcomm’s 5,807 patents filed within the same period. This is indicative of its giant strides in research and development, even with the extreme market conditions resulting from the coronavirus pandemic, coupled with US export restrictions still in force.
