Huawei Launches New Chip with Great Feature

Huawei company detailed its new smartphone chip, the Kirin 990, as well as the latest iteration of its AirPods- such as; earphones, the Freebuds 3.

FreeBuds 3 is the third generation earbuds that comes with a design oddly similar to Apple's AirPods. The new earbuds are touted as the world's first open-fit active noise cancelling headphones. Additionally, the FreeBuds 3 are powered by a new Kirin A1 chipset.

Also, comes with 190ms latency which is worth noting if you like using headphones for gaming and watching videos.

FreeBuds 3 comes in a circular charging case that can extend the battery life of the earbuds from 4 hours to 20 hours. The earbuds and case come in black and white colour options. Huawei did not mention the price of the FreeBuds 3, but the company mentioned that they will be more affordable than the AirPods.

The earbuds feature intuitive controls such as double tap the right to play / switch music, or the left to turn on / off ANC function. Playback pauses when taken off, and resumes once put back in.

Noteworty, Huawei at the IFA event introduced FreeBuds 3, the company’s new true wireless earbuds with new Kirin A1 chip, making it the world’s first certified BT/BLE dual-mode Bluetooth 5.1 SoC with patented BT-UHD transmission protocol for 6.5Mbps transmission speed.

Later, Huawei P30 Pro was named “EISA Best Smartphone 2019-2020” by European Image and Sound Association (EISA), a group comprising 55 of the world’s most respected consumer electronics magazines. It’s consider the second year in a row Huawei has won this category.

The award presented to Huawei during IFA at the EISA Awards Ceremony on September 6th in Berlin, to coincide with the opening of the IFA consumer electronics show.
