For decades, people used to read politicians’ words to social media made it possible to listen to them in real-time.

Politicians' tone of voices made a major difference, and their powers to engage audiences became crucial components of their candidacies.

In the 1890s, radio signals were transmitted over long distances for the first time by Guglielmo Marconi.

Politicians started using entertainment to get the attention of voters and gain their support.

In the 1952 election, campaigns started working with ad agencies and actors to boost their popularity.

Nowadays, social media have helped to change the political course from reasonable argument to grabbing attention through images and memes.

Politicians try to capture voters’ attention, and sometimes they increasingly turn to ridicule and even outrage others.

The continuous dependence on social media makes it more difficult to verify the qualities of ideas.

Democratic societies neglect the effects of new forms of media on the quality of political course at their judgment.
