The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts hot weather to prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, and North Coast, during daylight hours on Wednesday.
Extremely hot weather is expected to hit South Sinai and South Upper Egypt.
Furthermore, wind will be active on Western Coast, South Sinai, and the Red Sea mountain trail.
Moderate weather is also predicted to prevail across the country, at night.
Meteorologists also predicted that the country to experience a heat wave due to the Indian seasonal thermal depression.
Egypt will witness an increase in temperatures until Monday, June 13.
Cairo, South Sinai, and other Southern cities will experience hot conditions during the day, while moderate temperatures prevail at night across the country.
The heat wave will also be affecting Middle Eastern countries such as Kuwait, Iraq, and the Arabian Peninsula, leading to a rise in temperature.
The heat wave will be less severe in Egypt than in other countries in the Middle East due to the state's geographical location.
India’s seasonal depression raises the humidity levels and increases the feeling of heat.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 36°C in Cairo, 32°C in Alexandria, 33°C in Marsa Matruh, 38°C in Sohag, 39°C in Qena, and 41°C in Aswan.
