Hot Weather Hits Egypt on Thursday, Cairo 30°C

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts hot weather will prevail across the country during Thursday's daylight hours.

The country also witnesses mist, extending into fog, on the agricultural and highway roads from the north of the country to Cairo, North Upper Egypt, Central Sinai, North Coast, Lower Egypt, and Canal Cities.

Wind speeds of between 30 and 32 kilometres per hour (km/h) are expected to occasionally affect Cairo and South Sinai.

Meteorologists also predict that Egypt will experience a slight rise in temperature.

Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience low to moderate waves, ranging between 1 and 1.75 meters in height varying between southwest and northeast surface winds.

Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to turbulent, ranging between 2 and 3 meters in height varying between northwest and northeast surface winds.

Moderately cold weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt at night and in the early morning.

The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 30°C in Cairo, 30°C in Alexandria, 28°C in Marsa Matruh, 33°C in Sohag, 34°C in Qena, and 35°C in Aswan.
