Holding Company for Cultural, Cinematic Investment Established

The Minister of Culture Dr. Enas Abdel-Dayem established the Holding Company for Cultural, Cinematic Investment. This came after Dr. Mostafa Madbouli, Prime Minister issued a decree no. 1432 of 2019 concerning the General Founding Assembly of The Holding Company.

Abdel Dayem confirmed that the establishment of the holding company matches with the general strategy of the state to nourish culture, support the cinematic industry and invest in creativity.

The move aims to achieve the axes of sustainable development, preserve the artistic level of the content to reflect the value of Egyptian civilization, protect our identity, revive the film industry and cultural creativity, and construct the cultural system in Egypt.

Abdel Dayem noted that the assets of cinema represented in studios, theaters and others were owned only by the Ministry of Culture and the restoration of the right to run them would restore creativity and strengthen its distinctive role in the development of society.

It is worthy noting that The General Assembly of the Holding Company for Investment in Cultural and Cinematic Fields includes the following important figures: Dr. Mahmoud Fathy Attallah, Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed Ibrahim Abdullah, Omar Abdel Aziz, Hani Sayed Ahmed - representative of the General Union of Egyptian Workers Syndicates- Ayman Ismail Mohamed, Nermin Mohamed Tawfiq, Akef Abdel Latif El Maghraby, Dina Amjad Anwar El Mofty, Dr. Heba Saleh Ahmed Omar, Dr. Ashraf Zaky, Dr. Khaled Abdel Galil and Dr. Hesham Azmy
