Innovation and technology are essential pillars for strengthening the role of Arab women in entrepreneurship, Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs member and Arab Women Investors Union President Hoda Yassa said at the fourth Arab Innovation and Investment Forum held at the Arab League headquarters.

Speaking during an interactive session with investors, entrepreneurs and startups, Yassa said digital technologies and online platforms enable women to overcome traditional barriers, launch flexible businesses and access global markets more efficiently.

The forum, held under the theme “Toward an Innovative Arab Investment Ecosystem for Promising Opportunities,” was organized by the Arab League’s Economic Affairs Sector in cooperation with the Shabab Qaderoon Foundation and sponsored by several Egyptian ministries.

Yassa said the Arab Women Investors Union supports innovation through technical, marketing and leadership training initiatives, including the “Kayanak” program, and partnerships with universities to incubate youth-led projects.

She stressed that investing in innovation is vital for economic development strategies and global competitiveness, calling for an Arab investment model that balances financial returns with positive social and environmental impact.
