Twitter announced the “For You” feature, through which users will be able to swipe between tabs to see recommendations or tweets from the accounts they are following.
According to a tweet by Twitter support, “starting today on iOS, swipe between tabs to see Tweets recommended “For you” or Tweets from the accounts you’re “Following.”
The platform noted that it is replacing the “Home” and “Latest” tabs with “For You” and “Following”. These will be pinned “to the top of your timeline so you can easily switch between them.”
Recently, Twitter’s CEO Elon Musk announced three new features which are set to arrive on the platform in the coming weeks.
Musk pointed out that Twitter will soon bring in the Tinder swipe option, which will allow users to swipe right or left to move to browse recommended and followed tweets on the instant messaging platform.
He added that the tool will be available by the end of this week, noting that the swipe feature is the first part of a much larger UI overhaul.
In addition, the bookmark button will be used as a de facto silent like on tweets and is set to arrive on Twitter next week.
The CEO also indicated that the much-anticipated feature long-form tweet will be rolled out in early February 2023. The feature will help Twitter users to post longer tweets without the current word limit of 280n characters.
