Following his landslide victory in Algeria's presidential elections, Abdelmadjid Tebboune who got more than 58% of votes has to deal with very essential issues.

The pressing issues for the 8th Algerian president, since the country's independence in 1962,  were breifed by Algerian newspaper "Al-Shorouk", which prioritized the separation of money from politics.

The newspaper report considered this as one of the most important issues that Tebboune must deal with, and work to combat it.

The report also called upon the new president to reconsider the elected bodies inherited from the previous regime, which bring together politicians and observers, most of them suspected for corruption.

According to analysts, Tebboune should call for parliamentary elections, to have new figures representing the people, from those having efficiency and good reputation, and be able to get Algeria out of its problems.

Among the important files that the elected president needs to deal with also are the democratic freedoms, the separation of powers, the fight against corruption, and the repair of deficiencies in all sectors of the state.

In his first speech after being named president of Algeria, Tebboune called on the demonstrators in the popular movement to start a serious dialogue, expressing his respect and influence of the movement's demands.

He also praised the Algerian army and its leadership for securing the country and the popular movement, and dealing wisely with the developments that took place on the Algerian scene.
