On Monday, Thierry Henry announced the preliminary men's squad for the French Olympic football team for the upcoming Paris Games.
Henry announced the names of the 25-man squad during a press conference at the France Football Federation headquarters in Paris. The final list will be announced next month.
The preliminary squad includes former Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette, Crystal Palace's duo Jean-Philippe Mateta and Michael Olise. PSG’s midfielder Warren Zaïre-Emery and Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel were also enlisted.
The called up names have no mention for Kylian Mbappe.
Les Bleus won two medals at the Olympic Games, including silver one in Paris in 1900 and gold at Los Angeles 1984.
