The Egyptian Football Association, headed by Hany Abo Rida, has decided to appoint Helmy Toulan as technical director of the Egyptian local team participating in the 2025 Arab Cup in Qatar.
Toulan said in a radio interview: "After being nominated by the technical committee, I was appointed technical director of the Egyptian local team in the Arab Cup without financial compensation. This was after being nominated by the technical committee and approved by Hany Abo Rida."
Helmy Toulan continued: "Due to the limited time and the need for an experienced technical director to lead the Egyptian national team in the Arab Cup, I was nominated by the technical committee."
