President of the Committee of Culture and Information at the House of the Representatives Osama Heikal said media makers in Egypt are just users, pointing out that they are only consuming the modern technology not producing them.
Addressing the 25th international scientific conference, titled "Media Industry in Light of Investment and Technological Opportunities and Challenges," the president of Egyptian Media Production City pointed to a great developments happened in the media industry worldwide.
Heikal noted that US President Donald Trump manages the White House through his statements on Twitter.

"Media doesn't recognize the political borders of countries," he further stated.
He also said: "There are 'liquidity' in the media industry which represents a danger on the national security."
"Traditional methods in teaching media are in its way to disappear," Heikal underscored, stressing the need for developing these methods.
"It is important to educate the Egyptian society for what is called "Media Education," he concluded.
