A large number of casualties and missing persons have been reported following an Israeli strike on a residential area in Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood in Gaza City, according to reports from Al-Qahera News channel.
Sources stated that Israel is actively working to turn the entire Palestinian city of Rafah into a buffer zone, a plan currently being implemented on the ground. Israeli forces have also been systematically demolishing buildings in the Morag area located between Khan Younis and Rafah.
It was confirmed that the Israeli military targeted a residential block in Al-Shuja’iya, resulting in what has been described as a "massacre," with numerous people reported injured or missing. Reports emphasize that the occupation forces continue to bomb densely populated residential buildings, leading to a rising death toll and widespread injuries among civilians in the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday morning that six Palestinians were killed and several others injured in ongoing Israeli airstrikes across Gaza.
According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, two civilians, including a woman, were killed in an airstrike targeting two tents sheltering displaced persons west of Khan Younis. Another two civilians, one of them a child, were killed when Israeli warplanes struck a residential apartment belonging to the Al-Haj family in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. Additionally, one person was killed and others wounded in a drone attack on Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.
The attacks come as part of a wider Israeli military campaign in the Gaza Strip that has resulted in heavy civilian casualties and widespread destruction.
