The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts that a heatwave will sweep across Egypt on Wednesday.
Extremely hot and humid weather will prevail during the day nationwide, while North Coast experience hot and humid weather.
The weather will seem hotter due to the high humidity levels, which will push up the heat index 2-4 degrees.
The country will also witness mist on agricultural and highway roads from the north of the country to Cairo.
Wind will occur occasionally in South Sinai and the Red Sea mountain trail at interment periods.
Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience low to moderate waves ranging between 1 and 1.5 meters in height, varying between northwest and western surface winds.
The Red Sea will experience low to moderate waves, ranging between 1 and 1.75 meters in height, varying between northwest and southwest surface winds.
Moderately hot and humid weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt at night and in the early hours.
The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 39°C in Cairo, 34°C in Alexandria, 32°C in Marsa Matruh, 41°C in Sohag, 42°C in Qena, and 42°C in Aswan.
