Mahmoud Shaheen, Director of the Weather Forecast Department at the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA), revealed Monday that the country is currently experiencing a heat wave.
Shaheen added that the temperature recorded a remarkable rise, especially the next days with temperatures reaching around 36 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and Wednesday.
He noted that hot weather will prevail in most parts of the country, which will be mild/moderate at night.
It is predicted that the weather will begin to improve starting Thursday with temperatures hitting 30 degrees Celsius.
Temperatures are expected to drop from four to six degrees on Friday.
Furthermore, hot weather is foreseen to prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, Western coasts, North Upper Egypt, South Sinai, and South of the country, during daylight hours on Tuesday.
Pleasant weather is expected to prevail in Eastern coasts.
Furthermore, pleasant weather is foreseen to prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, South Sinai, and the South of the country, at night.
It is also predicted that moderate weather will prevail in the Eastern coasts.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 34C in Cairo, 31C in Alexandria, 31C in Marsa Matruh, 35C in Sohag, 35C in Qena, and 36C in Aswan.
