Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, said that Egypt sees a rise in infections with the Coronavirus (known also as COVID-19), indicating that COVID-19 is sweeping now through the world.

Dr. Abdel Ghaffar stressed that all people across the country must take precautionary measurements and be vaccinated against the Coronavirus in addition to taking the booster dose if six months pass following the second dose.

The spokesman of the Ministry of Health added, during a phone call with Amr Khalil, representing “ Mn Misr-From Egypt” aired on the “cbc” satellite channel, that under all circumstances, all people must adhere to social distancing, wear authorized facial mask, and supply good ventilation.

Abdel Ghaffar indicated that there aren’t any cases that need hospitalization as 70% of cases proved positive have either light or no symptoms at all.

He warned that the fast spread of infection is a bad omen, especially for those people who have not been vaccinated or have not adhered to preventive measures, lest they put more pressure on hospitals, recommending all citizens to get vaccines.

Dr. Abdel Ghaffar went on to say that if anybody suffers from the Corona symptoms such as heavy breathing, they should hurry to the hospital to receive treatment, affirming that Egypt is among countries that provide sufficient doses of the anti-Corona vaccines to their population.

He revealed that Egypt is about to produce its first anti-Corona medicine this month that authorized by international agencies like the World Health Organization (WHO).
