Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, said on Sunday that there is still no final word from world institutions regarding imposing a fourth Coronavirus vaccine dose.

Abdel Ghaffar added that the fourth dose has been approved in limited countries around the world, and the latest issued studies tackled the concept of the seasonal Coronavirus vaccine.

Finally, he urged all citizens to receive the booster vaccine shots for decreasing the rates of infection and enhancing immunity.

The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population announced Saturday that the average number of daily infections with COVID-19 during the last week reached five cases, while the average daily death toll was three new cases.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population announced in a statement that the average daily number of people recovering from coronavirus last week reached 21 – bringing the total number of people recovering from the virus so far to 445,430.

The number of people fully vaccinated against the coronavirus is now up to 34,709,848 people.

The Health and Population Ministry confirmed on March 12 the end of the peak of the fifth wave after the decline and stability of daily infections with COVID-19, noting that vaccines play a major role in the decline in infections and severity of diseases.
