Renowned Egyptian archaeologist Zahi Hawass signed on Wednesday his new book "Secrets of Egypt" in which he documented his archaeological discoveries throughout his career.
In the book, Hawass documents his archaeological explorations in Egypt during his life span. He uncovers several secrets about ancient Egyptian history, contributing to the revival of the tourism sector in Egypt.
The signing ceremony was attended by Sada el Balad English (SEE) Editor-in-Chief Safaa Nawar and Editing Manager Mohamed Wadie as well as several ministers, ambassadors, directors of foreign institutes, president of the American University in Cairo (AUC) Francis J. Ricciardone, Ambassador Moushira Khattab, and super stars including artist Hussein Fahmy and Yehia El Fakharany.
Hawass provided a summary of his book, which deals with the history of Egypt through the ages, from the Whale Valley in Fayoum to the Valley of the Kings in Luxor, to the streets, churches and mosques of the Islamic and Coptic era.
The book includes 10 chapters carrying much of the mysteries, memories and adventures of Hawass throughout his career.
It is noteworthy that Hawass also held a signing ceremony of his book in California last June.
