Hawass Searches for Tombs of Queen Nefertiti, Imhotep

Renowned Egyptian archaeologist Dr. Zahi Hawass delivered a message to the world in front of King Tutankhamun mask at the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir.

In his word, Hawass said that Tutankhamun mask is the world's most beautiful masterpiece discovered by Howard Carter in 1922.

"The golden boy-king King will be the hero of the Grand Egyptian Museum, set to be opened next year on November 4, 2022," the archaeologist said.

Concerning epidemics and diseases during ancient times, Hawass revealed that Tutankhamun died from malaria, which killed 70% of those who lived in Tel Amarna.

He also added that the plague had spread through different civilizations, and continue for a long time, causing a state of terror among the world's peoples.

He explained that the Pharaohs were able to overcome the plague, noting that ancient Egyptian was clean and used to follow automatic precautionary measures; he was eating healthy foods such as onions, garlic that strengthen his immunity.

Hawass added that he is now searching for the tombs of Queen Nefertiti in Luxor, and the architect "Imhotep" in Saqqara.

Finally, he hopes the world would rapidly overcome Coronavirus crisis, and find a drug soon.
