On Tuesday, Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) board of directors announced the winner consortium of managing and operating GEM’s facilities.
Eight international consortiums submitted their documents in 2018 in the pre-qualifying stage for selecting one consortium to manage the services of the museum.
However, only three names qualified to the final stage.
Next, after several processes of evaluation, only two were selected for the final negotiations.
Finally, the committee of experts announced the victory of Hassan Allam consortium that includes various leading international Egyptian, French, English, and Emirati corporations that are well known for their experience in fields of administration, hosting, tourism, marketing, and quality.
Major General Atef Moftah, head of the GEM Engineering Committee, highlighted that long rounds of negotiations and discussions took place to select the winner.
Achieving the highest income and presenting excellent services based on international standers that benefiting that biggest museum in the world were put in consideration.
During the meeting, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Khaled El Anani thanked GEM crew and working committees for their precious efforts during the past two years and half to accomplish the mission of selecting the winner consortium of managing and operating GEM’s facilities.
