Former Lebanese prime minister and Head of Future Movement Saad al-Hariri thanked the Egyptian leadership for its unequivocal support to Lebanon following the massive explosion that hit Beirut Port and left heavy damage.

In a statement on Saturday, Hariri said the Egyptian political leadership did not hesitate to support Lebanon in the difficult times as well as the Arab and Gulf countries.

He warned of a fake website aiming to spread false news about him about the Egyptian aid to Beirut.

It is worth noting that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed the Armed Forces to establish airlift between Cairo and Beirut.

Today, the Armed Forces announced that a second military transport aircraft had taken off for Beirut, carrying large quantities of medical supplies and foodstuffs.

The relief aid shipment has been dispatched according to the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

It is part of an airlift urgently launched by Egypt to support Lebanon in the wake of Beirut Port’s massive blast that took place on Tuesday.
