On Friday, Barcelona's coach Hansi Flick commented on the latest crisis of Dani Olmo, and the failure of the club to register him.
Flick said in the press conference ahead of Saturday’s Copa del Rey debut: “I don’t want to talk too much about this because it’s not my job. My job is to prepare for the game. I was in contact with the president at Christmas and today as well. I have the club’s confidence that they have done their job, as I have done mine."
He added: “It’s normal. To be honest, I wasn’t happy with the situation either. The players aren’t happy either, but we have to accept that we are professionals. I’m optimistic, but we have to wait for the decision."
In the same context, Olmo's agent Bara told Fabrizio Romano: "It’s a stressful situation for Dani as it would be for any other player. But he’s a great player and person, he’s trying to be calm. Of course, Dani is a winner and he loves to play the games, not to watch them.
"We have never made any career decision for money. Dani plays football as he loves the game, he made a massive effort to be at Barcelona. I’m also happy to have Dani at Barcelona, he’s one of the best players in the world at one of the biggest clubs in the world.
"We respect President [Joan] Laporta and Deco. They made a big effort to bring in Dani last summer. We like their project, it’s a big one for the future, one of the best in the world in the next years."
