Hamza Abdel Karim has quickly become one of the standout names in FC Barcelona’s academy setup after an impressive rise during the second half of the season.
The young Egyptian striker joined Barcelona’s youth ranks on loan from Al Ahly SC last winter with an option to buy and has reportedly convinced club officials with his performances and rapid development.
According to reports from Spain, Barcelona are now strongly considering activating the purchase clause after the forward attracted attention from several European clubs following his recent displays and inclusion in Egypt squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Abdel Karim’s rise has been fueled by his strong goal-scoring record and his ability to adapt quickly after moving to Spain, with club staff said to be highly satisfied with both his technical level and mentality.
The player’s progress has also caught the attention of first-team manager Hansi Flick, who is reportedly monitoring the striker closely ahead of next season.
Reports suggest Abdel Karim could be given the opportunity to train with Barcelona’s senior squad during preseason preparations this summer, marking another major step in the development of one of the club’s fastest-rising young talents.
