Egyptian actress Hannah El Zahed performed Umrah rituals in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
She posted on Instagram a photo and video from the sacred ritual and captioned, "Since the year is almost over, I have a very beautiful gratitude to god for everything and every moment in which he assured me with his kindness that he loves me, sent me strength and extra patience as well as signs that there are still beautiful things waiting for me.."
This is El Zahed's first public appearance since splitting up with her ex-husband, actor Ahmed Fahmy after four years of marriage.
El Zahed announced the split on her Instagram Story without sharing further details.
"Praise to God, me and Ahmed are officially separated after 4 years of marriage. May God bless us with what is best for us," she wrote.
El Zahed and Fahmy tied the knot in a magical wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza, on September 11, 2019.
They tied the knot one year after their engagement in 2018. The couple got engaged after a small love story, in Hannah’s home, amid the attendee of their families and close friends, on August 16.
The duo's relationship witnessed great developments before their engagement, where they were frequently publicly spotted together.
Fahmy took to Instagram after the engagement ceremony and posted a photo of the newly engaged couple declaring, “She is my Queen”.
The couple went viral across social media and became on the most searched on Google top-trending searches in Egypt following their engagement.
Their age difference caused panic among several of her fans, who advised her to marry someone younger, and someone who was not married before, as Fahmy is 13 years her senior.
This was Fahmy’s third time getting married. He was previously married to Shahd Ramzi and Menna Hussein Fahmy.
