Egyptian forward Hamza Abdel Karim underwent his medical and physical assessments with Barcelona on Monday at the Joan Gamper Sports City, as part of the club's preparations for the 2026-27 season.
The young striker arrived at Barcelona's training facilities to begin pre-season with the first team after representing Egypt at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Abdel Karim opted to report immediately for pre-season instead of taking an extended break following his international duties.
Spanish newspaper Sport published footage of the Egyptian youngster arriving at the training complex before completing the club's routine medical examinations ahead of pre-season training under head coach Hansi Flick.
Barcelona officially resumed preparations for the new campaign with players undergoing their customary fitness and medical checks before the start of on-field training, with Flick personally overseeing the squad's return.
Abdel Karim is regarded as one of the club's promising young talents and will be aiming to impress during pre-season in an effort to secure a place in Barcelona's first-team squad for the upcoming season.
