The Qatari Al-Wakrah club, officially, announced, Tuesday, the arrival of Al Ahly's midfielder Hamdy Fathy for three seasons.
Fathy departed to Qatar, yesterday, to have the medical exams before signing the contracts.
Al Ahly will receive $ 3,250,000, after passing the medical exams, in addition to a $ 500,000 bonus.
The deal also includes 20% for Al Ahly in case Al Wakrah decides to buy the player in the future, and Al Ahly's priority to get the player back in case Al Wakrah decides to buy the player to an Egyptian club.
Al-Wakrah’s spokesman Mohamed bin Fahd said: “Negotiations started between all parties [the two clubs and the player] through the past weeks until reaching an agreement over all the details."
He added: “The player will undergo medical scans after arriving in Doha within the coming hours and after the results we will announce the date of signing the contract and unveiling the player in a press conference,” he added without disclosing any further details regarding the deal."
