Egyptian folk singer Hakeem will be the official star of the African Nations Cup. Social media leaked on Thursday the official song of the AFCON that will be released at the opening ceremony.

The song, dubbed “We Are Together" "Metgamaeen", will be sung by Hakeem in collaboration with Nigerian singer Femi Anikulapo-Kuti, who will sing in English, while Ivorian Dobet Gnahoré in French.
The clip was filmed in several areas in Cairo during the end of Ramadan.
The song was produced by Synergy and composed by Sherif Hamdan and distributed by Tarek Abdel-Gaber. The song highlights the African music through drums.
Worth noting is that Kuti has participated at the opening ceremony of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
