Last Saturday, a devastating earthquake hit the southwestern part of Haiti, about 160 kilometers to the west of the capital Port-au-Prince, killing at least 1,941 people and leaving thousands of buildings destroyed and damaged.
The Caribbean nation was still recovering from the 2010 earthquake that killed more than 200,000 people.
The government has declared a month-long state of emergency in the provinces affected by the quake, which included Grand Anse, Nippes, and Sud.
