Guinea’s Coach Hails Egypt's Football Team

Paul Put, Guinea’s head coach said on Sunday that Pharaohs is one of the strongest candidates to claim the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, that will run from June 21 to 19 July.

"Egypt's hosting of the 2019 AFCON will encourage the national team to claim the title," Put added.

"Pharaohs have many prominent players, among them Liverpool's star Mohamed Salah, who has great potentials," he clarified.

After a few minutes, Guinea will play against Egypt at Burj Al-Arab stadium in their last friendly game before the AFCON.

The National Elephants will appear in the showpiece tournament for the 12th time in their history. Their most prominent achievement was in 1976 when they ended second after they were defeated in the final leg by Morocco.

It is worth mentioning that Guinea, drawn in Group B alongside Nigeria, Madagascar, and Burundi, will begin their mission against Madagascar at Alexandria Stadium on Saturday, June 22 at 22:00 pm CLT.
