Disney and Marvel have reportedly stopped the production of a third Guardians Of The Galaxy movie following the sacking of director James Gunn. According to The Hollywood Reporter, crew who had been assembled to start work on the picture have been dismissed and told they are free to look for new work.
Speculation over the future of the project has been rife since the surprise firing of Gunn last month, which came after old tweets in which he joked about rape and pedophilia resurfaced.
Guardians of the Galaxy 3 was scheduled to be released in 2020, fresh off Avengers 4, the final movie of phase three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
