The US special envoy to the Middle East, Jason Greenblatt has confirmed that the United States ( US) is not seeking  to topple the Palestinian regime  or replace  Chairman of the Palestinian Authority ( PA) President Mahmud Abbas.

The US envoy who sat with reporters of  Bloomberg Network early Tuesday,  said that the US doesn’t look forward to change the Palestinian regime.

He recognizes President Abbas  as the leader of the Palestinians  and hopes that he will be able to return to the negotiating table."

Greenblatt added that the US administration hopes to continue partnership with the Palestinian Authority

He declined, over the interview with Bloomberg,  to disclose details of the political part of the "Deal of the Century," but said that US President Donald Trump should decide "soon" whether to announce it before or after the upcoming  Israeli elections or even after the formation of the next Israeli  government.

The US envoy  pointed out that  this conflict will be solved only through direct negotiations between the Palestinians and Israelis, not the United States or the European Union or the United Nations.

However,  some Palestinian officials describe Trump’s plan for peace in the Middle East as a program aiming to devote the practices of occupation in Palestine. They consider the American plan as  a rejected  dictation.

A US  official as said  last month that the visit  paid by US Presidential Adviser Jared Kushner  to the Middle East aimed at finalizing details of his proposed economic plan to settle the Palestinian issue.

The economic program envisages pumping $ 50 billion to the Occupied West Bank, Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon.

According to the US official, the aim of the tour is to continue the momentum generated in Bahrain's economic workshop and to finalize the economic part of the plan.

He pointed out that the US delegation will also discuss the establishment of a fund to raise funds for future investments within the framework of the US plan.
