The Greek authorities are still fighting the latest wave of wildfires that broke out through Athens suburbs.
On Tuesday, the authorities issued an evacuation alert for the town of Nea Makri in eastern Attica, due to the wildfires.
Hundreds of firefighters from Greece, and various European countries continued their efforts to control Greece's worst wildfire this year.
The fire started on Sunday, roughly 20 miles from Athens, according to Sky News.
Strong winds and rising temperatures have created tinderbox conditions in the country.
This wave of wildfires could be Europe’s largest wildfire ever recorded in a year.
Authorities also ordered the evacuation of several towns in the north-eastern suburbs of the capital.
