Greek Ambassador to Egypt Νikolaos Papageorgiou praised Egypt’s handling of current Middle East challenges, saying that bilateral relations are a key pillar for regional stability.
Speaking at Greece’s National Day celebration in Cairo on Tuesday, attended by Culture Minister Gihan Zaki and senior diplomats, the ambassador highlighted the historical ties between the two countries, including the Greek presence in Egypt and Saint Catherine Monastery.
He noted that Egypt and Greece are strengthening cooperation across politics, economy, education, culture, investment, and energy, describing their relationship as a comprehensive strategic partnership.
The ambassador also emphasized the important role of the Greek community in supporting bilateral ties.
