On Monday, three workers were killed due to an explosion in a dynamite factory in northern Greece, according to the company and local officials.
The explosion, which occurred in the early morning at the "Eltech" factory in Aegiale, east of Grevena, killed 3 workers, and an injured security guard, according to AFP.
Locals said that the explosion sounded like an earthquake. The cause of the explosion is under investigation, the company said.
"We can confirm the death of the three workers of our factory in Grevena during an accident on the production line," Eltech said in a statement, expressing its condolences to the families of the victims.
Earlier, the company said that the factory used "all safety precautions required by law," adding that it was cooperating fully with investigative authorities.
