Everton winger Jack Grealish has been named the Premier League’s Player of the Month for August, marking the first time he has received the honor in his professional career.
Since joining Everton on loan from Manchester City, Grealish has made an immediate impact, topping the league’s assist charts with four during August, double the tally of any other player.
All four assists came in just two matches. He set up both goals in Everton’s 2-0 victory over Brighton, before creating two more in the dramatic 3-2 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
His performances have helped lift Everton to fifth place in the league table.
Grealish has also made history as the first Everton player ever to register multiple assists in consecutive Premier League matches.
He could extend that record in Everton’s upcoming fixture against his former club, Aston Villa.
