The government monitored the circulation of news on some websites and social media pages about the issuance of a decision to freeze air traffic at the Capital International Airport due to the absence of international safety standards upon landing.
The Cabinet's media center stated that it had contacted the Ministry of Civil Aviation, which denied the reports, stressing that there is no truth to halting air traffic at the Capital International Airport due to the absence of international safety standards upon landing, and that no decisions have been issued in this regard.
It stressed that air traffic at the Capital International Airport is proceeding normally without interruption, with the airport continuing to operate all flights on a regular basis according to daily operating schedules, as well as providing refuel service to aircrafts belonging to various airlines.
It explained that the Capital International Airport is one of the most important Egyptian airports that conform to international safety standards, as it was equipped with the latest automated landing systems (ILS / DME), with the control programs building equipped with the latest special devices for air traffic management.
It called on citizens not to be led by lies, while obtaining information from official sources.
