Google unveiled on Wednesday, the new Nest Audio smart speaker, the latest in its line of smart speakers powered by the Google Assistant.

The Nest Audio is Google’s replacement for its original Home smart speaker from 2016.

The new Google Assistant speaker looks more like a smaller version of Google’s big Home Max, with a full fabric-covered body, hidden LEDs on the front and a touch-sensitive top for volume and playback control, according to Tech reports.

It offers a wireless audio experience, whether through Bluetooth, Google Cast, or Wi-Fi. It has Google Assistant on board and responds to the “Hey Google” hotword.

It integrates with your smart home, features the four-dot Google Assistant light design scheme, and has a hardware switch on the back that shuts of the microphone.

In addition, great features that will make the Nest Audio sound even better are Media EQ and Ambient IQ.

The former will automatically tune the speaker depending on what you’re listening to music, podcasts, audiobooks, while the latter auto-adjusts the volume based on how noisy your home is at the moment.

On the other hand, the device is available starting October 5th and will go on sale in 21 countries.

The company explained that it prioritized more bass, added volume and clearer sound when designing the product which replaces the aged Google Home smart speaker.

Also, Google reported Nest Audio has 50% “more bass” and can get 75% louder than Google Home could. It all comes in a much larger package. It sports a 19mm tweeter to hit high frequencies while a 75mm mid-woofer pushes things out on the lower-end.
