Google introduced the interface refresh feature for all Gmail users, pulling Meet, Chat, and Spaces closer together, The Verge reported

The rework includes elements from Google’s Material Design 3. Moreover, the company unveiled new plans for tablet users, better emoji support, and more accessibility features, among other upgrades.

Those who do not like the change can switch back to the old look, at least for now. If Gmail users want to switch back, they can follow these instructions:

  • At the top right, click Settings.
  • Under Quick Settings, click Go back to the original Gmail view.
  • In the new window, click Reload.

This week, Google Meet allowed users to live stream their meetings to YouTube, noting that other new features are underway for the next 15 days. Admins will be able to choose whether they would like to enable live streaming, as well as streaming permissions for meeting participants.

The Google Workspace team said: “Live streaming is useful in situations where you want to present information to large audiences outside of your organization, giving them the opportunity to pause and replay as needed or view the presentation at a later time.”

The feature will be available to Google Workspace Inpidual users, Google One Premium plan members in selected regions, Google Workspace Enterprise Starter, Standard and Plus packages, and Education Plus, Teaching, and Learning Upgrade customers.
