Gold prices jumped, domestically, by EGP 50 on Monday, following a slight rise in gold ounce prices in international exchange markets. The latest rise in prices was driven by the anticipation of the meeting of the US Fed on the interest rates tomorrow.

Embabi added that the gram of 21-karat hit EGP 3030, while the price of the gold ounce jumped to $2160 in international markets.

In addition, the gram of 24-karat recorded EGP 3463, 18-karat estimated at EGP 2597, and 14-karat reached EGP 2020.

The gold pound recorded EGP 24240.

Gold prices decreased by 6%, EGP 190, last week as the gram of 21-karat opened the weekly transaction at EGP 3170, and closed at EGP 2980.

The price of the gold ounce opened the weekly transaction at $2179, and closed at $2156, after recording a $23-decrease.
