Gold prices on the global exchange closed with a rise of $50 (2.7%), during trading last Friday evening.
Meanwhile, gold prices in the local markets are expected to close trading for this evening with a decline of EGP 40 (1.8%).
Saeed Imbaby, executive director of the “i Sagha” platform for online trading of gold and jewelry said that gold prices witnessed a decline by EGP 5 in the local markets during today’s trading, as a gram of 21 karat gold recorded EGP 2215, while an ounce declined to $1940.
He added that a gram of 24 karat gold recorded EGP 2526, a gram of 18 karat gold recorded about EGP 1894, and a pound of gold recorded about EGP 17680.
