Gold prices rose slightly in the local markets during the middle of trading today, Thursday, with a slight increase in an ounce on the global stock exchange, amid the markets’ anticipation of the US Federal Reserve’s decision regarding the fate of interest rates at a meeting next week.

Saeed Imbaby, executive director of the “iSagha” platform for trading gold and jewelry via the Internet, said that gold prices rose by 5 pounds, during today’s trading as compared to the closing of trading yesterday evening, Wednesday, so that a gram of 21 karat gold recorded the level of 2340 pounds.

Imbaby added that prices are witnessing fluctuations and movements in a narrow range since the beginning of morning trading, while the ounce rose on the global stock exchange by $ 6, to record the level of $ 1946.

Imbaby went on to say that a gram of 24 karat gold recorded 2674 pounds, a gram of 18 karat gold recorded about 2006 pounds, a gram of 14 karat gold recorded about 1560 pounds, while a pound of gold recorded about 18720 pounds.
