Globus Monitors Israel's Losses from Changing Course of Ships Away from Bab al-Mandab

The Globus, an Israeli economic magazine, indicated that attacks carried out by the Yemeni "Ansar Allah" group against ships heading for Israel through the Red Sea could delay the arrival of those ships by weeks.

This came as reported by the Turkish Anatolia news agency, noting that proposals to divert ships away from Bab al-Mandab would make those ships travel an additional 13,000 kilometers, until they reach Israel.

The agency pointed out that this matter was reported by the Israeli economic magazine "Globus", which indicated that changing the routing of ships means adding additional costs to the actual cost of shipments heading to Israel through Bab al-Mandab.

Ansar Allah announced earlier yesterday that it had targeted a Norwegian oil ship, in the Red Sea, that was heading to Israel, noting that its crew rejected warning calls.

Repeated attacks on ships heading to Israel have caused many shipping companies to divert their ships to routes around Africa, traveling thousands of additional kilometers.
