Giza Zoo Receives 50,000 Visitors on 1st Day of Eid Al-Fitr

The head of the central administration of zoos Mohamed Ragai confirmed that the Giza Zoo received, Friday, the first day of Eid Al-Fitr, about 50,000 visitors.

Ragai said - in an exclusive statement to the Middle East News Agency- that all amenities have been provided for visitors to enjoy the zoo, praising the efforts of the zoo workers, especially during holidays and vacations.

He added that the Giza Zoo administration took all measures to facilitate the entry of visitors, noting that the zoo opened its nine doors from 7am until 5pm, at a price of five pounds per ticket.

The head of the central administration of zoos explained that a number of new animals were presented in the zoo, pointing out that all new animals in the zoo are exchanged without any financial burdens.

He pointed out that the number of guiding signs and maps has been increased as a guide to the park to assist visitors while walking around and seeing all the animals easily and providing paper maps of the park during the visit.

It is noteworthy that the Giza Zoo is characterized by a diversity of wildlife, which includes 4,281 species of animals, birds and reptiles, including 3,000 species of birds, 369 species of reptiles and the rest of the species of mammals.
