Gillette has recollected about 87,000 units of its Venus Simply3 razors due to laceration and injury risks.

The razor's recall was due to a manufacturing problem that appeared in the misalignment of blades, causing a big hazard for cuts during application. The razors included a disposable Razor 4-pack and 12+1 Bonus Pack.

Earlier, Gillette has received a complaint from one of the consumers, who was severely cut while using the recalled razor.

Gillette sold the recalled product from January-May 2019 for between $6 for the small pack and $10 for the biggest one.

Meantime, Gillette has been contacted by consumers to replace the misaligned razors and has sent receipts for newer ones.

The stock price has ranged in value over the past 4 years, however, controversial Gillette Ad. "Toxic Masculinity" did not hurt sales. Consumer goods such as Gillette razors were traded as high as $111.96 earlier this week before closing at $109.65.

In 1901, the Company was founded by King C. Gillette as a safety razor manufacturer. On October 1, 2005, Procter & Gamble (P&G) finalized its merger deal with Gillette.
